HTAG – a company with a long and rich tradition

Over 100 years of experience in inland waterway transport, chartering and cargo transhipment.

HTAG's story begins back in 1904: In order to transport the coal they had mined, Harpener Bergbau Actien-Gesellschaft, a mining company, acquired a shipping department and founded its own shipping company with its headquarters in Ruhrort on the Vinckekanal. Over 100 years later, the present-day HTAG Häfen und Transport AG can look back on a long tradition. Through a process of steady growth and flexible and proactive adaptation to market conditions, we have now become one of the leading European providers of bulk and general cargo logistics over land and water.
