Privacy policy

We would like to inform you about the type and scope of personal data collected by our websites, why we need to collect it and how it is processed and used.

When visiting our websites, data is collected, processed and used and it cannot always be ruled out that this data may contain personal references. The IP address must be collected and stored in order to display the web page in your browser. As a rule, your IP address is dynamically assigned by your ISP. This address usually changes on a regular basis so that the IP address cannot be used to identify a specific person. With static IP addresses, it would be theoretically possible to identify a specific person in individual cases if so desired.

The following data is stored each time you open a web page:

  • The IP address of the requesting computer
  • The operating system of the requesting computer
  • The browser version of the requesting computer
  • The name of the file being retrieved
  • Date and time of the request
  • Amount of data transferred
  • Referring URL

The stored data are evaluated solely for statistical purposes and not for establishing a link to a specific person. The data may also be used for debugging purposes. IP addresses are deleted after 7 days at the latest.

Usage data, web analytics & cookies

We also use the web analytics tool, Google Analytics from Google Inc. ("Google") for the purpose of optimising the web site. Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies", text files that are stored on your computer and used for analysing your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address) is transmitted to and stored on one of Google's servers in the United States. We do this using the so-called "_anonymizeIp()" script that ensures that your IP address is immediately anonymised by Google (after performing a geolocalisation). Google then uses this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports about website activities for the website operators and to provide further services based on website activity and Internet usage. Google may also transmit this information to third parties, insofar as doing so is required by law or the data is being processed on behalf of Google by third parties. On no account will Google associate your IP address with other data being held by Google. You can prevent cookies from being saved by changing your browser settings; we would, however, point out that doing so may prevent you from being able to fully use all the functions of this website. Google also offers so-called opt-out tools for some Internet browsers that allow you to prevent the recording and analysing of your browsing behaviour. You can find more information about these tools and download links here.

Changes to these provisions

It may be necessary to revise this privacy statement should there be a change in the law or our service. The current version of the privacy provisions can be viewed at any time by clicking on the "Privacy" link.
